Have you tried something new in your writing lately? Are there any pain-points that have come up that the group might be able to offer advice about? We may end up revisiting discussion topics from previous months, as well.

The middle of a story can be tricky to write. How do you keep the middle from sagging? What needs to happen in the middle of a story? How can you ensure that your story is well-paced in the middle?

– Using Time in Your Story –

How do you deal with time in your story? How do you decide which moments to describe in detail and which to pass over quickly or omit? When might you choose to tell a story chronologically, non-linearly, backwards, using flashbacks or flashforwards, using simultaneous action/intercutting. etc. and what effect do these choices have?
